Grief can often be confusing and difficult to understand. Talking with someone who has shared a similar experience of loss may be helpful in working through your grief. There are numerous support groups that meet throughout Wichita to help anyone during the grieving process. This is a partial list of local grief support organizations:

 

The Compassionate Friends

 

The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. Grief Share

 

GriefShare is designed to help you successfully travel the journey from mourning to joy. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. There are several GriefShare groups meeting weekly at locations in Owasso.
